Class 1 - Week 2- CW 1

Welcome back to the second week of learning "COMPUTERS".

I hope you all have drawn the pictures of man made things in your notebook!!!! Good Work.

Learning Outcome of today's lesson: Students will be able to differentiate between things (non-machines) and machines.

Dear Students now you have learnt about different man-made things.

Let's understand a little more about it.

All the things made by man are not machines.
  • Some things are useful for us in our day to day life but they are not machines. For e.g. table, eraser, bag, bottle etc. They are called non-machines.
  • Some things made by man are called machines. For e.g. washing machine, sewing machine, juicer, bus, train, clock etc. Machines help us in many ways:
⇒ Machines make our work easy and fast.
⇒ Machines save a lot of time and effort.

For e.g. 1) A refrigerator is a machine which keeps things cool                       and fresh.

             2) A sharpener is a machine, used to sharpen pencils.

             3) A car is machine, which takes us from one place to                       another quickly.

Now its time to think?????

Look around your house and see which all machines and non-machines are there and discuss with your parents.

Activity Time!
Collect pictures of machines and non-machines from old newspapers or magazines. Paste pictures of three machines and three non-machines on a new blank page of your computer notebook.

That's all for today !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Take Care!! Stay Safe!!!
